Coffs Harbour & District Sporting Car Club

Hi Guys how are we? Looking forward to this years events, I hope so. We have a few events coming and one is on this Sunday at the Raleigh Raceway, the first Snap-on Tools Coffs Harbour Khanacross and event for the year. We are looking for people to help at the Hillclimb on the 02/03/2014 any help at all will be greatly appreciated. We need people to be Marshalls, BBQ and anything else we need talk to Tony Creer if you can help please. We will need the same help for the Rallysprint on the 04/05/2014 in the Newry State Forest. Please let Ben Biggs Know if you can please. We are Having a General Meeting at Club Coffs on the 19/02/2014. thanks guys

G’day All, Well it’s been pretty hectic so far this year with all sorts of stuff going on in and around the club and we are well and truly full steam ahead. Our first event is only a couple of weeks away and then we have an event a month through to the end of the year. I hope you all enjoy what we have planned for you… Thank you to Ben and Barry for bringing Mark Abraham & Snap on Tools on board as a sponsor for the Khanacross series. Mark is a good bloke, next time you need some quality tools look him up… Thank you also to another couple of good blokes, Mick at Midroad Motors for sponsoring the 2 hillclimb rounds (again) and Phil at Northern Beaches Handi Hire for sponsoring the rally sprint (again) this year. If you can support their businesses in any way please do… We are still looking for support for the Motorkhana series if anyone can help?… In other news I have been visiting members sheds lately and am pleased to see the level of activity and effort being put in to get cars ready for upcoming events. It’s with regret to inform you that one of our life members Rick A’bell has passed away in Toowoomba. He died on Friday and there will be a service on this Friday 31st at Toowoomba

Hi guys sorry to be so late but I was away from the computer for a little time. We’re looking at 2014 already (the year went quick) we had some good runs in 2013 and we hope to have a good year in 2014. We are doing another Rallysprint in May in the Newry Forrest area South of Urunga (will need help for that). Also the Bike Club is looking for help on the 11 January for marshals so those that put there hand up to help can you please contact me on 0438556347 and let us know if you will not be there. As some of you are aware we do not have an area to do the flat track at this time it may change later don’t know. Looking for a good roll up at the events in 2014 will post the calender later so have a good and safe break and a happy new year from us guys to everyone.

G’day Members, Thankyou to all those who attended the AGM and voted in the new committee. With new faces in key roles including myself I am looking forward to a positive and interesting year in 2014. I’d just like to say that I will endeavour to do my best as your club president and the what I may lack in experience I hope to make up for in enthusiasm and put my passion for motorsport and our car club to good use. I have a few ideas that I hope might come to fruition over the coming year and look forward to keeping our club moving forward with the help of the committee and members. Thanks to Scott and Tony for steering the ship this year, you guys made it look easy. The next General Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 18th December. Yes I know it’s close to Christmas and a bugger of a time however we have a few important decisions to make for the coming year. If you have an interest in the way your club will run in 2014 this meeting would be the perfect oppportunity to have your say and I’d welcome you to attend and bring your ideas and discussion – it’s your club after all. Don’t forget this weekend we have our last event for the year being the Khanacross at Raleigh Raceway followed by our end of year presentation. I’m looking forward to a fun afternoon competing and then a few laughs around the fire with a beer or three later on. The club is putting on a BBQ for members and all you need to bring is your own drinks and sense of humour. Hi guys. We are having the AGM on Wednesday the 20th we need people there we need to have the elections to carry on next year. We are also having the khanacross and end of year party at Raleigh Raceway on the saturday we are intending to camp the night. The price for the night will be $20 p/p $50 p/family which includes some of the slides, pool and camping. Entry forms and sup regs to come soon thanks guys.
