The Coffs Harbour & District Sporting Car Club was established in 1966 by car enthusiasts who have since gone on to become some of Coffs leading business people.
Initially, the club ran hillclimbs between the Upper & Lower Orara loop roads and rallies in the Bucca area; in those days it was a long way to go to get to a racing circuit. Over the years, the club’s activities have adapted to reflect the changing values of society and the interests of the club membership.
The club eventually came to be known as the organiser of the NSW round of the Australian Rally Championship until pressures saw the event relocate to a capital city. Today, the club conducts a NSW and QLD state round of the Rally Championships, Motorkhanas, Khanacross, Hillclimbs, Lap Dashes, Tarmac Sprint and Rallysprints and is always looking at the possibility of new events in the future.
The club holds regular meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of each month and welcomes anyone interested in motorsport, including juniors and ladies. Our meetings are held at the Coffs Hotel on the corner of the Pacific Highway and West High St at 7:30pm.
