End Of Year 2014

G’day Members & Guests, Just a reminder we still have a bit on this year with the AGM on the 19th of November and our end of year Khanacross on the 22nd. The AGM is your opportunity to vote on the future of your club and your attendance is appreciated and recommended… If you are not there you might just end up getting voted into a role you weren’t expecting… (It’s happened before!) Entry forms and supplementary regulations will be posted soon for the Snap On Tools Khanacross Rnd 4 with our end of year prizegiving and BBQ to be held after competition on the day so pack the tent/swag/caravan and come along and have a good time. See you there! Cheers Craig

G’day members and guests,

October Club Meeting

G’day Members,

The busy season is ramping up and unfortunately our club secretary is not able to make it to the meeting next week and neither am I.

With lots of other things going on this month the other Wednesdays and a lot of other days are out also.

So we have a couple of options:

1. Move to Monday 20th October

2. Cancel this months meeting

I’m happy to bring up any items on behalf of anyone who can’t make it on the 20th.

Looking for some feedback please or maybe a better idea if you have one.

If you could please email me at president@coffscarclub.com.au and i’ll post the majority vote early next week.

Kind Regards

Craig Ranson

CAMS NSW officials training

G’day members and guests,

As previously posted, CAMS is providing some free up-skilling training in the organising of hillclimb and rally events on the 25th of this month in Grafton.

I have learned that the training will also include training related to off road events also and as we have precious few members to run or help run events I am hoping that there may be some of you who would like to take the first step forward to be a more active member.

It’s worth noting that that you can still compete almost all events that you are organising or helping out at so you can still have a run at most events if you want to.

If you would like to have a go at organising an event this is a great place to start learning how to do it and best of all the training is FREE.

If you’d like to learn a bit more about how events come together or freshen up your knowledge on CAMS policy and procedures please email Bob Carle at secretary@coffscarclub.com.au and he will be more than happy to forward your details to the relevant people running the course.

Without active members our club struggles to run events and it would be great to see some new and fresh faces in key roles in the future. There are plenty of older and experienced members who are more than happy to assist and help you along the way if you’d like to have a go.

Kind Regards Craig Ranson

Snap On Tools Khanacross Rd3

G’day Members and guests!

I’m very pleased to announce that the Khanacross on October 19th at Raleigh Raceway is ON thanks to Mick Morley putting his hand up to be clerk of course.

Entry form and sup regs will be posted soon. With only a couple of events left this year it would be great to see a strong field and I look forward to seeing you all there!

Cheers, Craig.

CAMS NSW Executive Election for 2015

Hi guys. This came from Col Fletcher so I have passed it on to you. Thanks guys.

Dear Coffs Harbour & District Sporting Car Club.

As you would be aware, the elections for positions on the CAMS NSW Executive are currently being held and I am seeking the support of your club to enable me to serve you as a member of the Executive for 2015. Why have I nominated for a role on the NSW Executive? I am passionate about motor sport in all forms and want to ensure that the sport grows by addressing the needs of the next generation. We need to market our sport to young people so that they become our next generation of passionate and enthusiastic competitors, organisers and officials to ensure that motorsport continues to flourish.
