Tyres & More Working Dog Rally – 6th October Special Stage Three/Six by CHDSCC

Remember that wonderful rally we had back in May? Well that wouldn’t have happened without a heap of helpful clubs and people. Now its our turn to give something back (but still have a great time).

Volunteer sign up sheet: Click Here

Contact us if you are available to help out with the running of a special stage of the Working Dog Rally by GCTSCC. There will be heaps of people on hand to assist and answer any questions. We may even assist with transport to get there.

Its a great way to learn about rallying, be around similar minded folk, get amongst the crews/cars and spend time in the ozzie bush.

MSA Official Training – Bronze Scrutineer

Hello Club Supporters,

As you may have seen on Social Media, there is a face to face training course for Scrutineering – Bronze Level, on this Saturday 31st August (same day as the Bago 150) in Kempsey.

There are only twenty places available, so apply as soon as possible if you are interested.

It is not necessary to have completed the online Bronze Scrutineering course on the Motorsport Australia portal as it is much the same material. I understand that there will be additional information regarding how to organise the practical assessment (necessary to progress).

If anyone is interested in assisting the club and/or gaining accreditation for official positions, feel free to contact us. We will assist anyway we are able.

Spreading the load on officials across events is vital to the health and future of our car club and entry level motorsport!

Link to online survey

Sorry if you got your hopes up, but put it this way. Maybe from your answers, it may lead to a new event.

All jokes aside please take this opportunity to let the committee members know how you feel about the direction of the club and what you might like to see in the future.

Feel free to send or share the link to other members you may think interested who may not be on the subscription list.

Thanks in advance. The survey closes the end of September.

Digital Camera Warehouse Bush Khanacross

Well done everyone for making last Sundays new event, the bush style Khanacross a success.

Conditions started off as very challenging, however as the day progressed, a little more grip presented itself and the foliage on the sides of the track breathed a sigh of relief. By the time we were onto the opposite direction runs, times were getting significantly lower overall. Very different techniques presented themselves, with the majority approaching the slippery conditions with caution, though some of the more experienced punters flung their car at the challenge which provided a visual (and sometimes audible) treat for the spectators!

Thanks to everyone who helped on the day, and literally it seemed everyone jumped in and assisted in some way or another. Congratulations to all our award winners.

On Saturday the 10th of August the Bunker Gallery is re-opening which includes the new National Holden Motor Museum. We have been asked if anyone is available to run a BBQ and sell drinks at the opening from 10:00 am till 2:00pm. The club would receive the takings.

As part of the motor show (details below) on Sunday the 18th August, would anyone be interested in displaying their car. In addition the club would happily pay your entry if you would consider placing the CHDSCC banner on display.
