Thank you to everyone who came along and assisted with the recent Working Dog Rally hosted by Gold Coast Tweed Sporting Car Club. That includes the people behind the scenes (or behind the camera) who made it all happen.

Thank you also to the Working Dog Rally! What to say but WOW, way to raise the bar. Just have a look at the posts/comments from competitors! I think this will be the new standard that event organisers aim for. Great roads, great format, special guests, fantastic coverage, wonderful location…the list goes on. We are still looking for people to assist with one of the stages at the upcoming Working Dog Rally at Bonalbo on October the 5th & 6th.

All the hard work is done and we are simply hoping for a few more people to help cover the gaps. No experienced necessary. Most of the job entails standing and watching the rally from the best positions ever! If you have questions please contact me via the club Facebook, Email: smith.ingenuity@gmail.com or call 0448 775 106 (Martin). Otherwise simply sign up today here:
A few club members are heading up Friday, and some Saturday. It will be an early start Sunday for the Rally, therefore its best to plan for overnight Saturday night. Yes there will be places to watch the footy 🙂
If you need assistance with transport, let us know as we may be able to help.
Hope you can enjoy the Rally with us.

Great event yesterday for the fourth round of the Coffs Coast Khanacross series. The paddock at Raleigh international raceway was in great shape and we had a smallish field of 10 starters. Hopefully this is due to the number of events around at the moment. A bit of a rough start with someone not assembling the timing equipment properly (sorry 😆).
Flowing courses soon had the dust flying and extremely close times with numerous cars competing for the outright win. The all wheel drives set the pace but some spirited driving in nimble front wheel drives continually threatened. The long power pulls up the hill made it challenging for all. As always the rear wheel drive cars were spectacular to watch and right there on the pace.
A short break for lunch ensured the grit was kept out of the sandwiches.
With no WD’s and only a few flags hit, the competition was tight all the way to the final run.
Although close, a definite winner emerged after setting the fastest time on all but one run, where a penalty was gained. It wasn’t enough to topple him from the podium though.
We noticed the lack of junior entries this round. However, Kai has improved rapidly, gained much experienced through many recent events and had the opportunity to be mentored by some fantastic drivers. He is now gauging himself against outright contenders and continues to impress.
Similarly in the ladies class we noticed the down turn in numbers. Tanya though, would be hard to beat, continually finding the limits of our club car. Two of her runs were completed on three tyres! I think there will be some further impressive times once she finds her own competition car or at least something consistently with four wheels. 😁
As always thanks to Mick, Scott, Riana, Bob, Peter and Felix, for there tireless efforts.
Thanks go to: The competitors for supporting the event and for helping setup, run and pack down.
Gianni for setting all the great courses and everyone who helped him.
Members of the Kemspey, New England and other clubs who travelled and supported our event.
