Well its been a roller coaster ride lately! After such success in the face of threatening weather for the Motor Festival to the devastating need to postpone the rally as a direct result of said weather, noone can say motorsports doesn’t keep you on the edge of your seat. Be it your home office chair or your race seat!

They say the best way to pick yourself back up after a fall is to get straight back onto the metaphorical horse so….

And finally, don’t despair, remember the Quality Accounting Coffs Coast Rally hasn’t been cancelled, just postponed so lets pull together and use the time to deliver an even better competitor experience that will ensure the success of the Rally (and the club) for years to come.

I am sorry to inform everyone that the Quality Accounting Coffs Coast Rally for 2025 has had to be postponed till October.

As you can imagine these decisions are never simple or easy and with a great many stakeholders holders involved, the decision needs to be made decisively and early.

The recent heavy rain has caused damage to competitive areas which are unable to be repaired before the event. Repairs, even if they were possible to carry out before Saturday, would not be firm enough to make for a consistent competitive surface.

We understand the disappointment. We acknowledge everyone’s efforts and commitment; to get vehicles and crews prepared, prepare the rally route and equipment and create procedures and documents to ensure the event would run.

Keep in mind that this is not a cancellation and part of this decision is to ensure the organisors can deliver the best event possible to competitors and the community.

I hope you can all accept this challenging situation and we can use it to our advantage in delivering the event in October.

Its the last meeting before the running of the rally. We are looking for more volunteers and anyone who has some time to assist is welcomed and encouraged to attend.

As always, everyone is welcome. We are likely to have a short round up of the Motor Festival which was run last Sunday. A rally discussion is likely to follow. Come along to the Coffs Hotel and have your say!

We are always looking for people to assist in the running of the club and events.

Meetings are held every third Wednesday of the month.

Yes its an exciting next couple of weeks, but there is some work to be done.

For anyone who is free next Saturday we are conducting a working bee for the rally. Saturday, 12th April – 7am to 4pm to assist with Coffs Coast Rally 2025 preparations. Meet at Flooded Gums (old lower spectator point) https://maps.app.goo.gl/uDcjLJ2wjKRFDShf9

Bring equipment and any supplies for the day.

Tasks required are fallen timber clearing, lantana clearing and minor road work such as draining puddles and rut filling.

If you have a brush cutter, shovel, mattock, brushhook etc bring it. I will be driving out there with a caged trailer if you prefer to put your tools in there rather than risk the interior of your car or ute tray. It may be muddy.

Then, the very next day, celebrate with our first ever Bridgestone Tyre & Auto Coffs Harbour – Coffs Coast- Motor Festival kicking off on Sunday 13th April 10am to 3pm.

If you haven’t had a chance to sign up yet to show of your wares, its not too late and we can even accommodate a few who may show up on the day, so really there isn’t any excuses.

Re-ignite the passion for a half finished project, keep the kids amused, explain to the public what you love about your car, escape the house work, promote yourself or your related business or simply come along and let people know, what attracts you about car culture and why they should join their local club.

Get a warm fuzzy feeling too knowing that any volunteered donations will go to a worthy cause and benefit the greater community.

Of course, being a club filled with rally nuts, I don’t need to remind you, arguably our most awaited day of the year is fast approaching.

With the addition of more competitive distance, amazing shire roads and night stages, the Quality Accounting Coffs Coast Rally for 2025 is set to be an absolute corker. The word on the street is there will be a rally show on the Friday night in the rallies new home of Woolgoolga with a media day also on the Friday for sponsors and VIP’s.

If you haven’t signed on as a volunteer official yet, please do, It is honestly the best way to get close to the action.

Or perhaps putting an entry in is on the cards. Whether your chasing the Queensland Rally Series or the NSW Rally Series the Coffs Coast Rally has it all.

The Coffs Harbour Bridgestone Tyre and Auto – Sport & Leisure Motor Festival is fast approaching.

Sunday 13th April – Coffs Harbour showgrounds. Entry is free!

Have you planned to show off your pride and joy?

Its totally free to show and simple to organise. Just sign up using the QR code or visit the event page on our website or Facebook. Please contact us if you have questions.

Many local groups have already committed. It will be a great and rare opportunity to connect with the public. You are welcome to promote your business, club or group along with your display, as long as it aligns with the Festival Theme. If you are the member of a local club or group and haven’t heard of the Festival, contact the relevant person and get the ball rolling.

There will be heaps to engage the public, food, coffee, all sorts of motorised stuff and the team at Chrome Bumper will be conducting a “show n shine” competition with trophies and awards for those whom they judge the best.

As always, we are also looking for any volunteers who may wish to assist on the day. Anything from spreading the word, sharing on social media, helping organise the displays to simply speaking with the public on the day and letting them know what the club is all about. Every little bit helps.

This is a new concept for the club and has the potential to encourage new members, strengthen and create new relationships within our community. All of which will benefit, not just our club, but motorsport and all people of the Coffs Coast region.

Its also the last CHDSCC event before, what’s shaping up to be a very busy and successful Quality Accounting Coffs Coast Rally, so lets all enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.

Lets teach every body what we already know. Motorsport is the goods, and a car club is a great place to start your education 🙂
