Presidents Report
25/07/2014 G’day Members, Well I have been a bit quiet lately as I had some other things to take care of outside of the club and stood down as President for a short time. Being away gave me an opportunity to think about a few things and at the last club meeting I threw a few ideas around that I hope will get the ball rolling for planning the clubs direction for 2015. In short, it has been noted that event entries have been a little low lately and it’s probably not helping that we have been reduced to one venue this year outside of the rallysprint. Before the 2015 calendar is drawn up perhaps now is a good time to invite your ideas for what type of events you want for your club next year. A few ideas I thought might be worth some consideration are: -Tarmac sprint – council road -Gravel hillclimb — forest road -S1 rallysprint — private property -Lap dash on rallycross track — Raleigh Raceway None of these require a compulsory roll cage so more members can get involved and have a go without spending a fortune. Safety is first and foremost and will be the deciding factor in whether we can run these type of events but ultimately they will only happen with member support to get involved and help organise them. There will always be a place in the calendar for tarmac hillclimb, motorkhana and khanacross type events, however current entries to these events are indicating we might need to mix it up a bit. So if you want to be involved in shaping the future of your club please put your thinking cap on and bring your ideas and thoughts along to the meeting at *Club Coffs 7.30pm on 20^th of August *and lets chat about it. I look forward to hearing your input and ideas. See you on the 20^th Cheers Craig Ranson.
