…the elephant in the room?

Just a friendly reminder that we haven’t conducted noise testing at our events for a while and……

……Noise is always a consideration at any Motorsport Venue and becoming more and more of a volatile topic.

Noise testing is very likely at the Coffs Coast Tarmac Autocross 2025 event HINT! HINT!

If your over the limit, sadly, you won’t be allowed to compete until its rectified. That includes pops, bangs, squeals and/or rattles!

If your not sure, there are some phone apps which will give you a rough idea (like Decibel X, Android & iOS)

The Coffs Sporting Car Club and Raleigh international raceway have sound meters and are happy to test your vehicle for you before the event.

Static: Test at 45 deg 500mm away from tip at 3500rpm (guide only)

Regulations: 30m from track edge must not exceed 95db.

November Meeting Wednesday 19th

Just a reminder that our November Meeting is this coming Wednesday 19th November.

Same time and place 7:30pm The Coffs Hotel.

A new event is coming…

Next month, a new event is planned for 14th December. It will be an Autocross on bitumen very similar to the Super Sprint we held last year around the same time, however with some changes:

Different to last years Sprint:

  • Car will leave the start line one at a time.
  • There may be the addition of some obstacles on the track to change the line
  • Entries will be by email invitation

Favourties from last years event:

  • Practice and qualifying
  • 4 laps each heat
  • At least 5 heats
  • Trophies

There should be plenty of track time!

Annual General Meeting – 17th December

Final meeting for the year and by far the most important.

Starting a bit earlier at 7:00 pm, same venue The Coffs Hotel.

Drinks and nibbles provided.

…RESULTS & AWARDS

Hey everyone, I know its a bit doom and gloom at the moment, however lets take a little time out to celebrate the victors in the short but challenging Steve Arthur Electrical – Coffs Coast Khanacross Series 2025 – 4 Rounds Gratefully supported this year by Steve Arthur Electrical.

The ladies category is getting stronger every event, though Sharon has the right last name for the podium 🙂

Khanacross is a great way to hone your skills. Many drivers like Ryan Moran progress and successfully compete in Autocross, Rally Sprints and more…

Liam Beard rose to the top amongst some fiercely competitive opposition, and thats just his family!

Harvey Nicholson had to work so hard to defeat his rivals in Juniors it drove him into the outright awards aswell.

Save Raleigh Raceway…

Link to Petition – Save Raleigh Raceway

Raleigh Raceway is more then just a race track. It’s a home, a community; a safe place that heals, unites and inspires.

For decades Raleigh Raceway, a small family owned business, has provided a safe space for thousands motorsport enthusiasts from all over Australia to share their love and passion for the sport.

But now it hangs in the balance and we need your help. Licensing issues have put our beloved racetrack at risk of either postponing or cancelling all events in the foreseeable future.

This track isn’t backed by big cooperations or sponsors. It’s owned and run by a hardworking local family who have been on the property for over 127 years and poured their heart, soul and every spare dollar to keep the track open, not for profit, but for the community, the people.

Raleigh raceway fuels the local economy, brings new and old customers to local hotels/caravan parks, cafes, pubs, service stations, mechanics and countless other family run establishments.

Help us help you. Save Raleigh Raceway, keep the dream and the community alive!

🗣 Speak Up – Share your story of how motorsport or this track has changed your life and what it means to you. Add it in the comments of the facebook page or better yet contact your local member!

Final Round Cancelled…

Apologies to everyone for any inconvenience however due to challenges faced by Raleigh Motorsport Complex (which was out of their control) we are unable to run the final round of the series. Lets hope we can rectify the situation for next year. Please show your support for Raleigh Raceway and assist if you are able.

Final Series Awards and Points….

Congratulations to all the award winners and competitors for a great season. We were truly blessed this year with the support of Bonville Service Station and LPO. With their support and your entry fees, we were able to make repairs and improvements for each round.

The winners from each category will have their names added to the new perpetual trophy.

I would like take the opportunity to mention those who work behind the scenes with no thought of recognition for themselves. We are so lucky to have such generous people. Not all from our club either! I wont mention names, as it stands, I get most of the credit 😆

Raleigh international raceway have really stepped up our support throughout the season and this year allowed the use of machines to make repairs, spread gravel and to stretch out for developing new events. The additional safety measures were a real bonus for us too. As was the support from the Hub Cap Cafe (staffed from @breadosgrabandgo) at our events.

A special mention of Steve Arthur again as it was his idea and concept that kicked off the whole Bush KX show. We salute you!

Anyway, if I haven’t thanked your for your help and support yet, consider yourself thanked.

I hope we can continue the Bush KX series next year. Thanks everyone, great work!
