Thanks to everyone for braving the conditions for Sundays, Round 1 of the Coffs Coast Khanacross Series for 2026 supported by Steve Arthur Electrical.
The inconsistent conditions made it hard for some to get ahead of rivals. The juniors certainly kept the pressure on with some cracker runs. The odd error helped mix the order up througout the day. One competitor remarking “I was just driving around looking for grip”. Lucky it aligned with most of the course!
Congratulations to all competitors for an smooth event with no incidents.
A great dedication to Chris at the Driver Briefing from Tony Creer with the floor being open to anyone to voice their respects. Most competitors choosing to pay theirs by a “Rev for Chris” at the start line.
These events could not proceed without all the help received on the day. Thanks to the BBQ chefs, course setters, timing and scorer (and videographer!) starter (and first aider and and flag replacerer), documenterers, supporting businesses and volunteers. Its appreciated that some of the juniors were amongst those helping out both on the course and in the van. The future is looking bright on both sides of the barrier.
Special thanks for Helen and the Piggott family for allowing the event to proceed at a very difficult time.
